About

The Histories of Northamptonshire interactive timeline brings together objects, stories, and events that reflect the county’s rich and diverse heritage. From ancient fossils to modern moments, it celebrates the people, places, and discoveries that have shaped life in Northamptonshire over millions of years.

Created by Northampton Museums & Art Gallery with support from Arts Council England, the timeline draws on museum collections, community contributions, and the exhibition A History of Northamptonshire in 100 Objects. A living timeline it continues to grow with input from local museums, heritage organisations and the wider public - sharing and celebrating the history and heritage from across the county.
