Sterilising drum belonging to Dr Francis Fisher Waddy, first anaesthetist at Northampton General Hospital. The drum contained small items of anaaesthetic equipment during their sterilisation.

Elaborately carved stone grave slab - St Peters, Marefair, Northampton

This 12th century grave slab is located in the church of St Peter, Marefair in Northampton. It is thought to have been carved by the same sculptors as the beautifully preserved set of Norman capitals (headings of columns) in the church.

Northampton Branch of the Social Democratic Federation Banner

The Northampton Social Democratic Federation (SDF) banner was discovered in the attic of 97 Charles Street in 1984. Vibrant, multi-coloured, with red and gold prominent, and printed on silk, the banner was made by George Tutill (1817-1887) in their workshop in City Road, east London.

Glazed ceramic shouldered roof tile from St. James' Abbey, Northampton

This is a rare type of medieval ceramic roof tile, replaced in the 13th century by standard rectangular ceramic or nib tiles used until the 20th century. The rarity of these roof tiles and their association with buildings of high status in Northampton, both religious and secular, is of historical and archaeological significance.

Won at Wembley in June 2020 in a final played behind closed doors due to Covid restrictions, Northampton Town Football Club took the trophy around Northampton visiting people as part of a project to support those who were suffering loneliness or were isolating during the Covid 19 pandemic.
